Home Grown Hardwood

Buying hardwood floors does not have to include rainforest trees. Contrary to the misconception that only exotic hardwood floors will be durable enough to be worth while. Domestic hardwoods like, oak, maple and hickory are all viable options for your home flooring needs. These woods have been used in the flooring industry for hundreds of years, and in many homes the original hardwood floors are still down, and still look beautiful to this day. That is also what makes hard wood floors so beautiful, they can be sanded down and resurfaced, revitalizing them back to a beautiful luster that can only be achieved naturally. By buying North American hardwoods not only are you adding value to your home, but you are also supporting your home economy, and insuring that the rainforest is being toppled. Lastly, please remember that the North American Forestry Association keeps a keen eye on our protected areas, and stricktly forbids illegal logging. In fact in North American Countries we cut down 10% of the forrest a year, while replanting 17%. So in actuality out forests are growing while others are shrinking.
